FTMO vs FundedNext (2026)
The two biggest CFD prop firms. FTMO is the established benchmark; FundedNext is the cheaper challenger with lower targets and the most reviews of any firm.

Short answer: on rules the two are closer than you'd think. Both 2-Step challenges use a fixed 10% max loss and a 5% daily limit. FundedNext is easier to pass (lower targets) and usually a bit cheaper. FTMO has the longer, cleaner payout record, and it's the one that has actually paid me.

Where FTMO wins
- Payout track record. Over a decade of paying traders, and it has paid me in 2–3 days.
- Clear rules. Its terms are consistent across sources; FundedNext's are reported in conflicting ways.
- Higher rating on Trustpilot (4.8 vs ~4.5).
Where FundedNext wins
- Easier to pass. An 8% phase-one target instead of 10% is a real difference.
- Usually cheaper at the same account size.
- Higher ceiling on split and scaling, if the terms hold up.
- 24-hour payout guarantee, backed by a written promise of compensation if it misses.
The honest caveat on FundedNext
One payout-proof tracker noted that FundedNext's monthly payout report stopped after February 2026. That doesn't mean it isn't paying. It does mean you have less public evidence than you used to. If you go with FundedNext, start with a smaller account and get a first payout before you scale up.
