FX Replay Review (2026)

A web-based replay and backtesting tool with a free tier, a built-in Prop Firm Simulator and 300+ markets. It suits candle-level practice on forex and gold. NQ and ES futures need the top plan, and I couldn't find public refund or cancellation terms.

Verdict: FX Replay is a good fit if you want to practise forex or gold on candles and rehearse a prop firm's profit target and loss limits. The free Beginner plan and the Intermediate plan cover that. Its Prop Firm Simulator tracks a profit target, a daily loss limit and a total loss limit; trailing or end-of-day drawdown isn't documented, so don't assume it copies your firm's exact rules. For NQ or ES you need Pro. The data is candles (OHLCV), with seconds candles on Pro, not tick data. Before paying, note that I found no public refund, cancellation or auto-renewal terms, and Trustpilot reviews include billing and lag complaints.

List prices from fxreplay.com/pricing, checked 2 November 2026. "Taxes may apply." The per-month figures on the plan cards are the annual price divided by 12; the monthly column is month-to-month billing. Prices change, so check the current price before buying. The pricing page says Intermediate and Pro have a free trial with no card to start, but I couldn't find how long it lasts.

You can also move between plans: FX Replay says you can upgrade, downgrade or stay free at any time, and on a downgrade the plan limits apply but your account data isn't deleted. It accepts cards and crypto.

Markets and data

Using it for prop firm practice

FX Replay has a "Prop Firm Session" mode where you set a profit target, a maximum daily loss and a maximum total loss, and a rules tab shows your status. Skipping ahead is disabled in these sessions. The homepage also mentions configurable spreads and commissions. The order window supports stop loss, take profit (with partial take profit) and auto break-even.

Where it stops: the help article documents only those three rules. I found no firm presets, and no documentation of trailing or end-of-day drawdown, so it won't replicate a firm like Lucid Trading or Topstep on its own. Track the drawdown floor yourself as in the drawdown guide, and treat your firm's dashboard as the source of truth. Replay also ignores real slippage and nerves.

How it compares: see the backtesting software guide for FX Replay against Forex Tester Online and TradingView Bar Replay. In short, FX Replay is the only one of the three with a built-in prop firm session; Forex Tester claims deeper tick data, and TradingView Bar Replay is included if you already pay for it.

Is there a discount?

FX Replay's affiliate page says referred users get 15% off. I couldn't confirm how it's applied, which plans or billing periods it covers or how long it lasts, so check your price at checkout and don't count on it.

Who FX Replay is for

A good fit: forex and gold traders who want to practise a strategy on candles, rehearse a profit target and loss limits, and start on a free plan before paying.

Not a good fit: traders who need tick-level futures history to test intraday trailing drawdown (compare Forex Tester Online), or anyone who wants guaranteed refund terms in writing before paying.

FAQ

Is FX Replay free?

There's a free Beginner plan with no card required that doesn't expire, with limits on sessions, trades, indicators and charts. Intermediate and Pro are paid.

Does FX Replay have NQ and ES futures?

Yes, but only on Pro. Futures data starts in 2012, as candles, with seconds candles available on supported assets.

Does the Prop Firm Simulator copy my firm's rules?

Not on its own. It documents a profit target, a daily loss limit and a total loss limit. I found no documentation of trailing or end-of-day drawdown, so track your firm's exact rules yourself.

Is there an FX Replay discount?

FX Replay's affiliate page says referred users get 15% off. Check your price at checkout, because I couldn't confirm how it's applied.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

I couldn't find public refund, cancellation or auto-renewal terms. The pricing page says you can upgrade, downgrade or stay free at any time. Ask support before paying and keep a copy of the answer.

Risk warning: a backtest isn't a forecast. Replay ignores slippage, real fills and emotions, and past results never guarantee future results. Most traders fail prop firm evaluations. Trading forex, CFDs and futures carries a high risk of loss. Nothing here is financial advice.
