Lucid Trading Review (2026)
The fastest prop firm I've traded: accounts pass in a day or two, and my max payout hit my bank within a minute of requesting it. The trade-off is a tighter, trailing drawdown you have to build your risk around.

Verdict: Lucid is my top pick for futures traders who want speed. LucidPro accounts can pass in a single day and LucidFlex in about two. Payouts arrive almost instantly, LucidPro has no activation fee, and the drawdown is end-of-day, never intraday. You get a smaller drawdown than a CFD firm gives you, and it trails, so plan your risk around it before you buy.

My experience with Lucid
Flex vs Pro vs Direct
Lucid sells several account types under one brand, and they don't share the same rules. Here's how I think about them:
| Plan | What it's for | My take |
|---|---|---|
| LucidPro | Evaluation; daily loss limit optional, chosen at checkout (reported at $1,200 on 50K when chosen) | The fastest pass I've had: sometimes a single day. |
| LucidFlex | Evaluation; daily loss limit optional at checkout; 40% consistency rule (50% with an add-on); payouts up to 50% of profit, capped at $2,000 on 50K | About two days to pass for me (Lucid's stated minimum is 3 days, or 2 with the 50% add-on). My $2,000 payout was the max. |
| LucidDirect | Skip the evaluation and buy a funded account | I haven't used it. Reviewers say its consistency rules can be strict. |

| Profit split | 90/10 |
| Activation fee | None reported on any plan |

Trading the end-of-day drawdown
Coming from CFD firms, where I only trade static drawdown, Lucid's end-of-day trailing drawdown took me some time to get used to. It's smaller than a CFD firm's 10% (on a 50K account it's $2,000), and it moves up with your closing balance, so giving back gains can still end an account.
Once you understand it, you build your risk management to fit it. The principles:
- Size against the room you have left, not the account size. On a 50K account with $2,000 of drawdown, your real account is $2,000.
- Intraday swings don't move the floor. Only your closing balance does, so you can let a trade breathe during the day. Just don't close the day far below your high.
- Protect the floor until it stops trailing. Once it locks at your starting balance, you have a fixed cushion.
Lucid never uses intraday trailing, the kind that kept costing me Apex accounts. (How the drawdown types compare.)
What getting funded costs
LucidPro 50K is reported at $172 with a daily loss limit and $215 without (third-party report, 19 October 2026), with no activation fee. A 40% promotion that was running earlier ended on 23 October 2026. At my overall pass rate of roughly one in three:
| Account | Reported price | 3 attempts | Activation fee | Real cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidPro 50K (with daily loss limit) | $172 | ~$516 | $0 | ~$516 |
| LucidPro 50K (without daily loss limit) | $215 | ~$645 | $0 | ~$645 |
That's far below a CFD firm's 2-Step at the same size, and because passes take a day or two, you find out quickly whether an attempt is working. Prices as of 19 October 2026 and change with promotions.
Trading Lucid from TradingView
This is how I trade it: buy a Tradovate account, connect Tradovate inside TradingView, and place orders from your TradingView charts. If you already chart on TradingView, it's the easiest setup. (TradingView setup guide.)

Who Lucid Trading is for
A good fit: futures day traders, especially NQ and gold, who want to get funded fast and paid fast, and who can trade inside a trailing end-of-day limit.
Not a good fit: traders who need a big, static drawdown. A CFD firm's 2-Step like FTMO suits that better.
FAQ
Does Lucid Trading actually pay out?
Yes. My $2,000 max payout hit my bank account within a minute of requesting it. The certificate is above.
How fast can you pass a Lucid account?
I've passed LucidPro accounts in a single day and LucidFlex in about two. That's much faster than the one to two weeks a CFD firm's two-phase challenge takes me.
Is Lucid's drawdown trailing?
Yes, but end-of-day trailing, not intraday. It moves up with your closing balance and stops once it reaches your starting balance. Intraday swings don't move it.
Can I use TradingView with Lucid?
Yes, through a Tradovate account. That's how I trade NQ and gold there.
Is there an activation fee?
Not on LucidPro: Lucid's help center says there is no activation fee to move a LucidPro evaluation to funded.
