Lucid Trading vs FundedNext Futures (2026)
Both sell end-of-day trailing drawdown on futures. Lucid gives you more room and has paid me. FundedNext Flex is cheaper on the price tag, keeps more of your profit, but gives you less room to lose and hasn't paid me yet.

Short answer: if you want the firm with a payout on my record and a $2,000 loss limit on the 50K, pick Lucid (LucidFlex or LucidPro). If you want the lower sticker price, a 95% split and a $250 minimum withdrawal, and you accept a $1,500 loss limit and 3 minis, FundedNext Flex is the cheaper way to try futures. I'm comparing the 50K size throughout.

Price
Prices on both sides move often, so treat these as a snapshot from October 23, 2026. Lucid changed its Flex and Daily prices on October 19, 2026, and raised the no-daily-loss-limit prices. Lucid's 40% promo code ended on October 23, 2026. Check the real price at checkout.
FundedNext's page shows the 50K Flex at $74.99 against a struck-through $141.99 list price. Its own FAQ says "starts at $69.99". The two figures sit on the same page, so the price card is the better guide; still check at checkout. Both firms charge a one-time fee, and Lucid says there is no activation fee to go funded on Flex.
Drawdown: Lucid gives you more room
This is the biggest practical difference. On a 50K, Lucid Flex gives you a $2,000 end-of-day trailing max loss for a $3,000 target. FundedNext Flex gives $1,500 for a $2,500 target. In plain terms, Lucid's loss limit is two-thirds of its target; FundedNext's is 60%. That sounds small, but on NQ one bad session uses up a lot of $1,500.
Both are end-of-day trailing, the only type I buy on futures. On Lucid Flex the floor rises with your highest closing balance and locks at the starting balance plus $100. FundedNext's locks at the starting balance once your profit equals the limit (third-party report). Watch out: Lucid's newer LucidDaily plan uses intraday trailing once funded (third-party report). That is the drawdown that cost me Apex accounts, so I stick to Flex and Pro.
Daily loss limits: on Lucid a daily loss limit is optional and picked at checkout, and you can't change it later. FundedNext Flex has none (third-party report).
Payouts: caps, speed and what I know
Caps. FundedNext caps a request at 50% of profit (third-party report); Lucid's table says the same, but see below. Lucid's own payout article is inconsistent on the basis: its table says 50% of profit up to the cap, while one line of the text says 50% of account balance. Either way, the cap is $2,000 on a 50K. On a 50K, Lucid Flex's ceiling is $2,000 and FundedNext Flex's is $1,500. Lucid Pro's is $2,000 for the first payout and $2,500 after. Most payouts will land under the ceiling anyway, so the real limit is your profit.
Minimums and rules. Lucid's minimum is $500; FundedNext's is $250. Lucid Flex needs 5 separate days at the minimum daily profit ($150 on a 50K) and a positive cycle profit. FundedNext Flex needs 5 benchmark days before the first withdrawal (about $200 a day on the 50K, per third-party guides). Lucid ends the account after 5 payouts and moves you to a live stage; FundedNext does the same with its Live Program (third-party report). Both are at the firm's discretion.
Speed. Lucid states no fixed window: you can request any day once you're eligible, funds are deducted within a few minutes of approval and sent within 2 business days. My own $2,000 payout reached my bank within a minute of requesting it. FundedNext Flex states no processing time on its pages, and the author has no payout from it to report. The "rewards in 5 days" line on its page appears to mean the benchmark days, not processing speed. Its Bolt plan advertises daily payouts and Rapid Pro advertises 3 days.
TradingView
I place orders from TradingView through Tradovate on Lucid. No official Lucid statement on TradingView support turned up in research; a third-party source lists Tradovate and Rithmic. FundedNext's page lists Tradovate and NinjaTrader and shows TradingView only in logo graphics, while a third-party guide says it is supported. Confirm support with each firm's support team before you buy.
Watch out
Lucid
- Prices and promos change fast, and no official price page was viewable.
- Rules change often. Consistency and split changed for purchases after November 28, 2025, and "Legacy" versions exist.
- Payout requests are final once submitted, and can be denied if your balance falls into the buffer before approval.
- Accounts go live after 5 payouts, at Lucid's discretion (third-party report).
- Cross-account hedging, including ES against NQ, is not allowed (third-party report).
FundedNext Futures
- It has not paid me yet.
- Tighter $1,500 loss limit and 3 minis on the 50K.
- No overnight holding (third-party report).
- Inactivity: challenge accounts deactivate after 7 days and funded after 30 (third-party report).
- Some Trustpilot reviews from April 2026 complain of payouts stalled by "compliance review" and of terminated accounts. These are individual, unverified claims, and there is praise too. One tracker marks it "not verified" and lists no published payout denials; that tracker is itself unverified.
Choose Lucid if…
- You want more drawdown room on a 50K
- You want a firm that has paid me
- You don't mind a $500 minimum payout
- You'll stick to the end-of-day plans
Choose FundedNext if…
- The lower entry price matters most
- You want a 95% split and a $250 minimum payout
- You can size down to 3 minis
- You're fine with a firm that hasn't paid me yet

FAQ
Has Lucid paid you? Has FundedNext?
Lucid has: a $2,000 payout, certificate dated March 5, 2026. FundedNext has not paid me yet, so nothing on this page about its payouts comes from my own experience.
Which has the bigger drawdown?
Lucid. On a 50K, Flex and Pro have a $2,000 end-of-day trailing max loss against FundedNext Flex's $1,500.
Which has the better profit split?
FundedNext Flex shows 95% on its page, against 90% at Lucid. One third-party guide says 80% with a 90% add-on, so confirm it at checkout.
Is the Lucid discount code still live?
No. The code ended on October 23, 2026. Check Lucid's site for current offers.
Is the payout cap 50% of my balance?
Lucid's own article is inconsistent: its table says 50% of profit up to the cap, while one line says account balance. Either way, the cap is $2,000 on a 50K Flex. FundedNext Flex is capped at 50% of profit, up to $1,500 on the 50K (third-party report for the basis). Confirm with each firm before requesting.
