Alpha Futures Review (2026)
A futures prop firm with end-of-day drawdown, a 90% split and monthly-subscription evaluations. I haven't traded it, so this is a research review. The July 2026 NinjaTrader split and complaints about slow payouts matter as much as the rules.

Verdict: On paper, Alpha Futures has what I look for in a futures firm: every account uses end-of-day trailing drawdown, never intraday, and the split is 90/10. Evaluations are monthly subscriptions, so there is no single big fee. But I haven't traded it and it hasn't paid me, and there are red flags: the firm dropped NinjaTrader in July 2026, discontinued its Premium plan, and some traders report payouts taking weeks or months. Read the "Watch out" section before you buy.

My experience with Alpha Futures
Watch out: July 2026 and payout complaints
- Payout speed is contested. The homepage claims same-day payouts once you hit the milestone. The FAQ says approved payouts arrive "within five business days or less". Some Trustpilot reviewers report waits of 10 days up to several months. Plan on the slower figure.
- One complaint is partly explained by the rules. A reviewer called the payout buffer "hidden". Each request is capped at 50% of account profit and you keep 90% of it. Both are official rules, set out below.
- Rules change often. The activation fee was dropped, plans were restructured and Standard got a new split and scaling in 2026. This page can go stale; check the current rules before you pay.
- No licence information found. I found no regulator warnings, but I didn't search every regulator database, and I found no evidence of registration either.
Zero vs Standard vs Advanced vs Direct
Four plans are live. Premium was discontinued in July 2026. They don't share rules, so pick by the one that fits how you trade.
| Plan | What it's for | Main catch |
|---|---|---|
| Zero | Cheapest evaluation; no consistency rule in the evaluation; minimum 1 day | Daily Loss Guard in the evaluation; Qualified payouts capped at $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,500 (25K / 50K / 100K) |
| Standard | Middle option; 50K, 100K and 150K; minimum 2 days | 50% consistency rule in the evaluation, 40% once Qualified |
| Advanced | Biggest payouts: up to $15,000 per request; no consistency rule, daily guard or scaling once Qualified | Tighter drawdown for the target ($1,750 on 50K) and a $4,000 target on 50K; minimum 3 days |
| Direct | Skip the evaluation: one-time purchase of a funded account | 20% consistency rule, daily loss limit and no scaling; higher upfront price |
Alpha Futures rules in 2026
| Drawdown | End-of-day trailing max loss limit on your highest end-of-day balance. It stops trailing at the starting balance (on a 50K account it starts at $48,000 and locks at $50,000 once your end-of-day balance reaches $52,000). |
|---|---|
| 50K Zero | Target $3,000, max loss $2,000, Daily Loss Guard $1,000, up to 3 minis |
| 50K Standard | Target $3,000, max loss $2,000, 50% consistency, up to 5 minis |
| 50K Advanced | Target $4,000, max loss $1,750, 40% consistency in the evaluation |
| Daily loss | Zero evaluations: Daily Loss Guard, a soft breach that closes your positions and locks you out until 6PM ET the next day without losing the account. Standard Qualified shows a daily limit in the pricing table, though the help article only mentions Zero (sources differ). Check before you buy. |
| Consistency (Qualified) | Zero and Standard 40%; Direct 20%; Advanced none. It blocks a withdrawal rather than breaching the account. |
| News | No restriction on evaluations or Advanced Qualified. Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified: no orders within 2 minutes either side of red-folder news; holding through is allowed. A second violation breaches the account. |
| Banned | Bots and automated trading on all accounts, hedging (including NQ against MNQ), VPNs (a VPS is fine), account stacking, and some very short scalping patterns. Copy trading is allowed only if one user executes and is the only person listed on all accounts. |
| Inactivity | Place a trade at least every 10 trading days |
| Time limit | None stated for evaluations; the monthly rebill is the clock |
| Trustpilot | 4.4 from 6,177 reviews (Trustpilot, October 2026); the company replies to most negative reviews |
What it costs
Evaluations are monthly subscriptions that rebill until you pass or cancel in your dashboard. After you pass, there is no subscription as a Qualified trader. A failed evaluation restores the starting balance at the next rebill, or you can buy a paid reset without changing your rebill date. List prices below are from the official site in October 2026; promotions change them, and I can't show a sale price here.
| Account | Per month | Evaluation reset | Qualified reset |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zero 25K | $89 | $79 | $399 |
| Zero 50K | $139 | $119 | $499 |
| Zero 100K | $279 | $249 | $799 |
| Standard 50K | $129 | $109 | $599 |
| Standard 100K | $239 | $199 | $799 |
| Standard 150K | $349 | $289 | $999 |
| Advanced 50K | $209 | $189 | n/a |
| Advanced 150K | $489 | $449 | n/a |
| Direct 50K (one-time) | $519 | n/a | n/a |
Cost trap: every month you don't pass costs the full monthly price again, and resetting a Qualified account costs $399 to $999. There is no activation fee on accounts bought after 8 July 2026; older Advanced Qualified accounts were charged $149. Other plans and sizes exist, and Direct also comes in 25K ($349), 100K ($689) and 150K ($859).
Payouts
- Split: 90% to you.
- Frequency: up to 4 times a month, each time after 5 winning days of $200 or more (they don't need to be consecutive).
- Size: each request is up to 50% of account profit, capped by your plan. Advanced allows up to $15,000 per request.
- Minimums: Zero $200, Standard $500, Direct $500, Advanced $1,000.
- Direct: profit targets for the first and later payouts are listed on the help center, and leftover profit does not carry over. Its 50K maximum withdrawal differs between two help articles (sources differ), so check the current figure.
- Speed: see the "Watch out" section. Treat "within five business days" as the realistic promise, and read recent reviews before you rely on it.

Platforms
Alpha Futures offers AlphaTrader, TradingView (through Plus500 connectivity), WealthCharts, Quantower and DeepChart. NinjaTrader and Tradovate have not been available for new accounts since 12 July 2026. That matters if, like me with Lucid, you're used to placing orders from TradingView through Tradovate: it works differently here. The data feed isn't stated.

Who Alpha Futures is for
A possible fit: discretionary futures traders who want end-of-day drawdown, can pass within a month or two, and accept the payout-delay risk. Start with a small account and request a first payout early, so you learn how fast it really pays.
Not a good fit: bot or hedging traders, anyone who needs NinjaTrader, and anyone who needs a firm with a proven payout record of their own. If that's you, Lucid Trading (which has paid me) is the safer comparison.
FAQ
Does Alpha Futures actually pay out?
I don't know first-hand: I haven't traded it and it hasn't paid me. The firm publishes payout rules and says it paid out $25M+ in two months (its own statement, reported second-hand). But Trustpilot reviewers also report long delays. Sources differ, so test with a small first payout.
How fast are Alpha Futures payouts?
The homepage claims same-day payouts, while the FAQ says approved payouts arrive within five business days or less. Some reviewers report waits of 10 days up to several months. Use the slower figure when you plan.
Is Alpha Futures' drawdown trailing?
Yes, but end-of-day trailing, not intraday. The firm states none of its accounts use intraday trailing. It follows your highest end-of-day balance and stops trailing at your starting balance.
Can I use NinjaTrader or Tradovate with Alpha Futures?
Not for new accounts. Alpha Futures ended its NinjaTrader partnership on 12 July 2026. You can use AlphaTrader, TradingView (via Plus500 connectivity), WealthCharts, Quantower or DeepChart.
Is there a promo code or an activation fee?
I don't have a code to give you, so I'm not listing one. There is no activation fee on accounts bought after 8 July 2026. Older Advanced Qualified accounts were charged $149.
