FTMO Futures Review (2026)
A new, single-phase futures program from FTMO with the drawdown type I prefer on futures: end-of-day trailing that locks at your starting balance. I haven't traded it, so this review is built from FTMO's published rules, and several details are still unconfirmed.
Disclosure: this review contains affiliate links. If you sign up through them I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. FTMO says its affiliate code does not change the price, so there is no discount here.
Verdict: FTMO Futures is worth a look if you want end-of-day trailing drawdown, no activation fee and a choice between an easier plan (Growth) and a stricter, higher-cap plan (Pro). It is also brand new. FTMO itself calls it Beta and says parameters, pricing and availability can change, and there is no Futures payout proof yet, including from me. Treat everything below as of 31 October 2026.
- Has it paid me?
- No for FTMO Futures: I have not traded it. FTMO's CFD 2-Step has paid me (see below), and that does not carry over.
- Best for
- Futures traders who want end-of-day trailing and can be flat by 4:10pm ET
- Drawdown
- End-of-day trailing on equity, locks at the starting balance; no intraday trailing
- Profit split
- 90/10 per FTMO's rules page (one FTMO blog line says Pro keeps 100%)
- Billing
- Monthly subscription; no activation fee; cancels when you pass
- Platforms
- NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView
What I have and haven't done
FTMO Futures rules (as of 31 October 2026)
| Structure | Single-phase Evaluation, then a Sim-Funded account. All accounts are simulated, with fictitious funds. |
|---|---|
| Sizes | 50K, 100K, 150K on both plans; up to 3 Sim-Funded accounts at once (up to $450,000 in total) |
| Billing | Monthly subscription, charged at purchase and on the same date each month. No activation fee. It cancels automatically when you pass; Sim-Funded accounts aren't charged. You can cancel in the Client Area any time. |
| Minimum trading days | None for the Evaluation |
| Contracts (Evaluation) | 5 / 10 / 15 contracts for 50K / 100K / 150K, same on both plans (1 mini = 1; 10 micros = 1) |
| Instruments | 30 contracts: 19 minis and 11 micros across equity indices, metals, energies, FX and crypto (including NQ, ES, GC) |
| Platforms | NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView. MT4/MT5 not supported. |
| News trading | Allowed in every phase, subject to FTMO's Forbidden Trading Practices |
| Overnight / weekend | Not allowed. Everything must be flat, and all resting orders (stops, limits, brackets) cancelled, by 4:10pm ET each day. |
| Copy trading | Prohibited. This affects trade copiers, so don't assume yours is allowed here. |
| EAs / bots | Allowed if legitimate and not a Forbidden Practice. A third-party EA shared with other traders risks denial of your Sim-Funded account. FTMO's list also names "prohibited automated strategies" without detail I could confirm, so read the Forbidden Trading Practices page. |
| Inactivity | 30 consecutive days without trading triggers a warning; another 30 days inactive closes a Sim-Funded account |
| Who can join | Global, 18+, individuals only. Some countries excluded, and five US states are not accepted: Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina. |
| Payouts | 90/10 per the rules page; minimum $20; Wise, Revolut bank wire, Visa Direct or Mastercard Send (not US clients); US clients need an IRS W-9 and proof of a US bank account. Requesting a payout closes open positions and pending orders. |
The drawdown: end-of-day trailing
This is the main reason to consider FTMO Futures. Per FTMO's rules, the drawdown is measured on equity (balance plus open P&L minus commissions) and works like this:
- The floor is set once per trading day, from your highest prior closing balance minus the drawdown amount.
- It only moves up, and it locks at your starting balance. After that you have a fixed cushion.
- No intraday trailing. Open profit during the day doesn't raise the floor. Only your close does.
My own rule on futures is simple: I only buy end-of-day trailing. Intraday trailing cost me Apex accounts again and again, so I stopped buying it. End-of-day trailing has still ended funded accounts of mine that were in profit, so it isn't painless, but it's the best option futures firms offer. By FTMO's description, this fits that rule. Again, that's from FTMO's rules, not from trading it. The exact drawdown amount per plan and size is unconfirmed (check FTMO). More in trailing vs end-of-day drawdown.
Growth vs Pro
FTMO's two plans differ on a few points it states plainly. Everything I couldn't confirm per plan is marked.
| Growth | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Daily loss limit (Evaluation) | None | Hard limit; breaching it fails the Evaluation |
| Payout cap range | $2,500–$4,000 (per FTMO's landing page and launch blog) | $5,000–$8,000 (per FTMO's landing page and launch blog) |
| Qualifying days per payout | 4 (per FTMO's launch blog) | 5 (per FTMO's launch blog) |
| Amount per payout cycle | Up to 50% of available profit | Up to 100% of available profit |
| Cap per account size | Unconfirmed, check FTMO | Unconfirmed, check FTMO |
| Drawdown amount | Unconfirmed, check FTMO | Unconfirmed, check FTMO |
| Evaluation consistency rule | 40% or 50% of profit for the best day; which plan uses which is unconfirmed, check FTMO | 40% or 50%; unconfirmed, check FTMO |
| Payout cadence | FTMO's page says "every 4 days"; this is a qualifying-day count, not a confirmed calendar cadence | Unconfirmed, check FTMO |
| Profit split | 90/10 | 90/10 on FTMO's rules page; an FTMO blog line says 100%. FTMO's pages differ. |
What it costs
Fees only tell half the story. To see what getting funded really costs once you count failed attempts, resets and activation fees, try our prop firm cost calculator.
Reported monthly list prices, unconfirmed mapping, checked 2026-10-31: Growth $119 / $169 / $229 and Pro $139 / $199 / $269 for 50K / 100K / 150K. I could not verify which price belongs to which plan and size from a readable FTMO price table, so check the checkout. Reset fees (a reset issues a new Evaluation and is non-refundable) are also unconfirmed. Refund terms for Futures are unconfirmed too; don't assume the CFD refund applies.
Because this is a subscription, the meter keeps running while you trade. A slow pass costs more than the same attempt would on a one-time fee. At my overall pass rate of roughly one in three across all firms, budget for more than one month. There is no discount code: FTMO says the affiliate code "does not change the price".
Watch out
- It's Beta. FTMO says parameters, pricing and availability are subject to change. The product launched in September 2026.
- Monthly billing keeps running until you pass or cancel. Resets cost extra.
- Pro has a hard daily loss limit. Breaching it fails the Evaluation and, once funded, may terminate the account (per FTMO's rules summary, unconfirmed).
- Evaluation consistency rule. Your best day must stay under 40% or 50% of total profit, which can force extra trading days.
- Flat by 4:10pm ET, resting stops and brackets included. FTMO says not to rely on auto-liquidation.
- No copy trading. I have used a trade copier elsewhere, but I can't tell you it works here, and FTMO lists copy trading as forbidden.
- Payout gaps. First-payout timing is not stated, and there is no Futures payout proof from me or anyone I can cite.
- Simulated funds. All accounts are demo accounts. Payouts come from FTMO, not a live market account.
- Trustpilot isn't futures-specific. FTMO overall is 4.8 from about 55,000 reviews (checked 31 October 2026), but that is mostly the CFD business, and Trustpilot's summary mentions slow support after technical errors.
- US restrictions. Five US states are excluded, and US clients need a W-9 to be paid.

Who FTMO Futures is for
A good fit: futures day traders who close everything by the afternoon, want end-of-day trailing and are comfortable with a young, Beta program.
Not a good fit: swing traders, anyone who relies on a trade copier, and anyone who wants proven Futures payouts before paying. If you want a firm that has paid me on futures, see my Lucid Trading review.
FAQ
Does FTMO Futures pay out?
I don't know yet. I haven't traded it, and I have no Futures payout proof. FTMO's CFD 2-Step has paid me $26,138.16 across four 2026 payouts, but that is a different product.
What is FTMO Futures' drawdown?
End-of-day trailing on equity. The floor is set from your highest prior closing balance, only moves up, and locks at your starting balance. There is no intraday trailing. Exact amounts per plan and size are unconfirmed, so check FTMO.
What's the difference between Growth and Pro?
Growth has no daily loss limit in the Evaluation, 4 qualifying days per payout and payouts of up to 50% of available profit, with caps of $2,500–$4,000. Pro has a hard daily loss limit, 5 qualifying days, up to 100% of available profit per cycle and caps of $5,000–$8,000. As of 31 October 2026.
Is there an FTMO Futures discount code?
No. FTMO says its affiliate code does not change the price, and I don't hold a discount code for Futures. Our FTMO discount code page tracks FTMO's current offers.
Can I use TradingView or a trade copier?
TradingView is a supported platform (alongside NinjaTrader and Tradovate). Copy trading is prohibited, so don't assume a trade copier is allowed. Check FTMO's Forbidden Trading Practices first.
